My name is Jes Acosta. I’ve been able to improve and diversify my art skills through my high school’s Art Club. Since then, I’ve met my art teacher who has been a tremendous help to my art journey and helped me realize that art was a career path I wanted to be on. In the Fall, I will be attending Montclair State University with my major being Visual Communication Design on a scholarship.
My name is Kaelani Bermudez and I’m going to attend Cornell University after I graduate high school. I’m an aspiring artist and have a love for adventure. I plan to work towards receiving my Bachelor's Degree in fine art and studying for my Master’s Degree soon after. My main goal is to inspire others artistically and encourage people to go after their dream career.
My name is Mia Colangelo and I will be attending ESMOD - a private university in Paris, France. My intended program is fashion design as it is my strongest passion. I feel so grateful to have had so many opportunities and experiences that allowed me to pursue my dreams.
My name is Chaco Iwase and I will be attending Carnegie Mellon University this fall for their BHA program (Bachelor of Humanities and Arts). I hope to improve my artistic abilities as an art major at College of Fine Arts while pursuing my academic interests at the Dietrich School of Humanities and Social Sciences where I will most likely be a psychology major. Additionally, I would like to take advantage of Carnegie's IDeATe (Integrative Design, Arts, and Technology) course offerings. In the future, I would like to combine my artistic and academic interests, and ideally pursue a career that will benefit my community and humanity as a whole.

My name is Eliza Nunez and I am currently a senior in Hoboken High School. I would say that art has been my passion ever since I was a little girl, it all started when I was in Connor’s Elementary School and my art teacher showed me what art is really about so I continued to go through art in High School. I am planning to attend Hudson Community College and I would like to challenge myself in evolving myself through art.
Greetings, my name is Kiomy Cuevas, I'm a senior in Hoboken High school. I'm going to Montclair State University in the fall of 2021 to study fashion design and business management.
My name is Joel Quizhpi and I am currently a senior at Hoboken High school. Ever since I was little I have always seen the beauty of art. But, now I see art in a medical standpoint as well. The therapeutic relief people get when painting or drawing is what stood out to me the most. Starting high school I began to study more on Art Therapy and the many benefits it has to those who are lost with unresolved issues. And then it hit me, this is what I wanted to do. This is what I wanted my future to be. My dream is to help those who are lost and in pain through the beauty of art. In doing so I will be attending Caldwell University in the Art and Psychology (Art Therapy) program.
My name is Giada Larez and I am a Senior at Memorial High School. I just moved back to the US two years ago and was previously living in France for 11 years, because of that it did take some time to get accustomed to the different education systems, the only subject that hasn’t changed was Art making it a place of comfort.
Even if it was a big move, I am very used to traveling because my mother is very passionate about seeing different cultures which is a very good passion to pass down to a child. Because of all the different travels I have made, it opened my eyes to all the different cultures and art surrendering the area, which I try to incorporate in my art at times. One of my favorite travels is when I visited Tokyo and Kyoto, Japan.
My favorite style of art is digital art and animation. I love doing digital art because you can make so many different pieces of art with just a screen and a digital pen, no need to continuously buy all the expensive different materials needed for specific pieces. I also like digital more because I have developed a love for the world of anime and it’s style, even if a lot of traditional artist contests on anime being a form of art I strongly disagree with that point. Times are changing, meaning the world of digital creations are taking over which in my point of view is a good thing. I do hope that I will be able in the future to work in the world of animation whether it is for film or video games.
This Fall I will be attending Montclair University majoring in Studio Art, I will be also taking Marketing as my minor.
Hello there! My name is Andrea Cortez and I am an artist. I am currently a senior at Memorial High School in West New York, NJ. I was born and raised in Venezuela and came to the United States in December 2015. I have always been interested in art but my first time creating art on a canvas was during freshman year, you could say that’s when my dream of dedicating my life to art was created. During my junior and senior years I challenged myself to take Advanced Placement Art, which not only helped my skills grow but I also found my own artistic style. This fall I will be attending Savannah College of Art and Design, where I was awarded a merit scholarship to attend. I couldn’t have imagined myself growing so much as a person and also as an artist if it wasn’t for awesome teachers from memorial high school, they are so loving and supportive, I can’t wait to become a well known artist to make them proud!
